Mentorship & Resources for Immigrant Artists

Through the Immigrant Artist Program (IAP), NYFA is building and serving a community of artists with diverse backgrounds who share the experience of immigration.

Our Immigrant Artist Mentoring Program pairs immigrant artists from all disciplines with artist mentors who provide their mentees with one-on-one support. Our Immigrant Artist Resource Center introduces immigrant artists to some of the resources available to them in New York and beyond.

Awards & Grants

Each year, NYFA provides over $4 million in cash grants to individuals pursuing artistic excellence in all forms.

Our grant programs include The NYSCA/NYFA Artist Fellowship (for New York State artists in all disciplines), Queens Arts Fund (for Queens, NY-based artists), and the Anonymous Was a Woman Environmental Art Grants (national, for environmental art projects).

Newsletters

We encourage you to sign up to receive our bi-weekly newsletter and our Immigrant Artist Program newsletter for program announcements, interviews, and opportunities at NYFA and beyond.

Fiscal Sponsorship

Fiscal sponsorship allows individual artists and emerging arts organizations raise funds using NYFA’s 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. The program is open to all artists with a U.S. Tax Identification Number, regardless of location.

NYFA sponsors large-scale arts projects that benefit the public through engagements such as film screenings, exhibitions, performances, artist talks, and publications. We also support emerging arts organizations that lead arts programming and services.
